The series “Faith, Hope, Love” is a profound cultural and emotional statement. The harmony of forms and lines conveys a sense of light, warmth, and forward movement, while the artist transmits her own interpretation of virtues as universal ideals that unite humanity through her works.

The “Faith, Hope, Love” series by Olga Gladushevskaya is a profound cultural and emotional expression. The harmony of forms and lines conveys a sense of light, warmth, and forward movement, while the artist, through her works, communicates her interpretation of virtues as universal ideals that unite humanity. The stroke technique in this series is not just an artistic method but also a means of deep reflection, reaching out to the viewer through the prism of the artist’s inner experiences.

The triptych’s concept is inspired by the legend of three sisters—Faith, Hope, and Love—which speaks to steadfastness and fidelity to universal virtues.

Works from the triptych “Faith, Hope, Love” may be sold as a complete set or individually.

According to tradition, in the 2nd century in Rome lived a widow, Sophia, with her daughters. During the persecutions of dissenters, Emperor Hadrian learned of the family and demanded that they renounce their faith and worship pagan gods. Despite threats and promises, the girls remained unwavering. They were subjected to brutal torture but did not recant. In the end, all three were executed. Sophia buried her daughters and died three days later at their grave. This story has become a symbol of spiritual resilience and faithfulness.
In Olga Gladushevska’s paintings, the sisters are depicted as adult women, as they might have been had they escaped death.

“LOVE” was damaged during a strike; after restoration, a visible scar remains on the canvas. “HOPE” was in a studio affected when a missile struck the Bristol Hotel: a tiny shard of glass pierced the canvas. Fortune was kind to “FAITH”: the work remained unharmed.

The artist Olga Gladushevska has a classical art education: she graduated from the Odesa Grekov Art School, Ushinsky University, and the Architectural and Construction Institute. Despite the basic knowledge that every artist should know, she developed her creative intuition as much as possible.

«The main question that interests me as an artist is how to competently transform what an artist sees into art on canvas.

I don’t think it necessary to copy and realіse simply technically beautiful paintings since a true artist is more than just a good technique. A true artist is the energy and emotions that the viewer feels when looking at the work.»
