Yevhen Lisniak is a young Ukrainian artist who works both in paintings and installations.
Born in Kryvyi Rih in 1994, he studied at the Department of Monumental Painting of the Lviv National Academy of Arts and completed the Contemporary Art course at the Kyiv Academy of Media Arts (KAMA).
He participated in collective exhibitions in Kyiv (Kooperativ, Art Zavod Platforma, the Modern Art Research Institute of the National Academy of Arts), Kharkiv (YermilovCentre), Lviv (Dzyga Art Center, Lviv Palace of Arts), and in Toruń, Poland (Ośrodek Gallery). Now Yevhen lives and works in Kyiv.
The author’s abstract works are marked by brand manipulation with space and texture, tension between the shapes, lines and planes, which within the canvas form in an expressive open story or symphony (in which, of course, differences of opinion are possible).
